The "Treflan" film shoot for S4C relied entirely on the Airstar balloon products for their 20 week shoot on location and in a studio. They were reliable, efficient, easy to use, consistent in light ouput, and produced a near perfect result in natural shadowless lighting

The use of the balloons had major advantages, firstly it produced an extremely even light, which wrapped around people and the large machines they were building, eliminated the shadow of the camera operators and minimised flare into the camera lenses. The balloons were very easy to put up about two hours before sunset and only needed a gaffer plus one to manage the whole show.
